Collection: Veronica Bonney

"My Grandmother's Country, here, big country around Canteen Creek. We like to go out hunting, collect bush medicine, bush medicine seeds, camp out overnight, get bush turkey, roos, echidna. Take the children out swimming, teach them kids about this country, young ones and old ones."

Veronica Bonney is an Alyawarr artist from Canteen Creek. Born in Alice Springs, Veronica grew up in Ampilatwatja where she learned to paint at a young age from her mother, Aileen Bonney. 

Her works are notable for their subdued palette and the soft painterly brush strokes which depict her Grandmother's Country - around Canteen Creek and Lake Nash.
